What Slack does in Teamvibe
The Teamvibe Slack app focuses on notifications today. There are two complementary paths:
- Personal digests — each employee who opts in receives a direct message from the Teamvibe bot with a short summary of what is new, plus a link back to Teamvibe
- Workspace notification channel — admins pick (or create) a Slack channel used for organization-level notifications. Selecting a channel also invites members who have already linked Slack
Posting team updates into Slack from Teamvibe is planned for a later release. This guide covers the notification setup that is available now.
Connect Slack for your organization
An organization admin authorizes the Teamvibe bot in your Slack workspace. Do this once before employees can link accounts or receive digests.
- Sign in to Teamvibe with an account that has organization admin access
- Open Admin Center and select Integrations
- On the Slack card, click Connect
- Approve the Teamvibe app in Slack when prompted. You return to Teamvibe with Slack marked as connected
Choose a workspace notification channel
After Slack is connected, pick the channel Teamvibe should use for organization-level notifications.
- Stay on Admin Center → Integrations with Slack connected
- Under Slack, open the Notification channel dropdown and select a public or private channel
- Optionally click Create channel to make a new Slack channel (public or private), then use it as the notification channel
Selecting a channel invites every Teamvibe member who has already linked their Slack identity into that channel. Public channels show a # prefix; private channels show a lock icon.
Personal digest notifications
Digests are sent as Slack direct messages to people who opt in. Each message includes a title (for example Your Company daily digest), a short summary of updates, and a button to open Teamvibe.
Employees complete these steps:
- Open their Profile in Teamvibe
- Under Get digests from your channels, select Slack
- If prompted, connect their Slack account so Teamvibe can match them to a Slack user in the connected workspace
Digests only go out when the organization has Slack connected, the person has linked Slack, Slack is selected as a delivery method, and their location's digest schedule is enabled. People can also keep Email (and Teams, when available) selected at the same time.
If Slack digests do not arrive
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm an organization admin connected Slack under Admin Center → Integrations
- Confirm the employee linked Slack from Profile and selected Slack under digest delivery
- Confirm the employee's Slack account is in the same workspace the organization connected
- Confirm digests are enabled for their location tag and that there is new content to summarize
- Ask the employee to check Slack DMs from the Teamvibe bot, including Message requests if the conversation is new
